Dutch oven roast beef on the BBQ!

Its Roast Beef time! Well today my wife wanted me to make her a Roast Beef on the BBQ. I only had a couple of hours to make this happened so I decided to cook it using my cast iron  Dutch oven. This recipe is pretty easy to make and its actually pretty yummy! Let's get cooking!

  • A nice beef roast
  • 1 tbsp Kosher salt
  • 1 tbsp celery salt
  • 1 tbsp garlic salt
  • 2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp Jamaican Firewalk from Dizzy Pig rubs
  • 1 tsp Roasted Garlic & Pepper from Club House spices
  • Optional 1/4 tsp liquid smoke of your choice
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 small onion chopped
  • Fresh Carrots
  • Fresh Potatoes

Pre-heat your BBQ to 450 degree Fahrenheit.

Put your roast beef in the Dutch oven pot and fill with water till its equal to the top of meat.

Now add the kosher salt, celery salt, garlic salt, black pepper, Jamaican firewalk, roasted garlic & pepper, minced garlic, chopped onion, optional liquid smoke and carrots.

Now cook on the BBQ with the Dutch oven lid on and the BBQ cover close for one and half hour.

After the hour and half add the potatoes and cook for another 20 minutes or until potatoes are soft and your now ready to serve!

Optional step you can remove water an leave just the bottom wet and cook for another five minutes to brown the vegetables!

Note: Use well insulated gloves when handling hot Dutch oven!
