Bruchetta Pizza on the Kamado Joe BBQ!

It's pretty easy to make and its pretty delicious!

First step is to make your pizza dough.

Here's the recipes I used to make my pizza dough:

Ingredients
  • 1.5 teaspoon (tsp) active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
  • 2 1/4 cups pizza flour
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons white sugar

Directions
  1. In a small bowl, dissolve yeast in warm (110 degrees F) water. Let stand until creamy, about 10 minutes.
  2. In a large bowl, combine 2 cups bread flour, olive oil, salt, white sugar and the yeast mixture; stir well to combine. Beat well until a stiff dough has formed. You also can use a Kitchen aid food mixture with dough hook. Cover and rise until doubled in volume, about 30 minutes. Meanwhile, preheat BBQ to 450 degrees F.
  3. Turn dough out onto a well floured surface. Form dough into a round and roll out into a pizza crust shape. P.S. this recipes has enough dough to do two twelve inch pizza.

Second step is to put the sauce and toping on the pizza!

Ingredients

·        grated Mozzarella cheese
·        grated Parmesan cheese
·        3-4 TBSP of fresh chopped parsley

Now for the good stuff.

You now want to cover your pizza with "Kraft Sun-Dried Tomato & oregano" salad dressing has the sauce. Then I also put 3-4 TBSP of fresh chopped parsley.

optional: You can also add green peppers and red onions.

Now its time to cover your pizza with Mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese.

To finish it off you put thinly slice tomatoes on top of the cheese

The third step is to cook the pizza!

Pre-heat Kamado Joe with heat deflector with pizza stone sitting on top of the heat deflector at 450 degrees F. Cook for 10-12 minutes till golden or to taste and enjoy!

P.S. You can also cook this on The Big Green Egg with the pizza stone sitting on top of the plate setter. For the gas grill user's out there place the pizza stone on your grill but cook at 350 degrees F for 15-20 minutes.

Note: You can use corn meal on your pizza stone to prevent the crust from sticking!
